hi, welcome nitiutome
maybe you should try to use this OS and give an opinion on this OS, I used my friends 8800 and Bold 9000 Silver with ... What if you become the first person to give an opinion on the 8900 javelin? we hope you try it and give an opinion about OS 4.6.1.462 in this forum :-)
thanks

That sounds strange from what i know the 8900 shouldn't be running slow, i've seen 8300 models that tend to run real slow. could be the OS I would give that a try

Sure I'll try it later. Considering how slow my internet connection allows me to download the OS... Hehhehe

I've personally used the OS on my Curve 8900! I can't honestly say there wasn't a whole lot of difference from AT&T's previous OS but THIS was definitely a SOLID OS!! And it's actually OS 4.6.1.315

many say that this OS is a stable OS for javelin, there are a lot of performance improvements in the javelin, but said that made the battery becomes wasteful jleeblanch, is it right? but I guess it depends on how our usage, if standards usage would not like that, I own at least 2 times a day to charge battery, with the use of a madman hahaha....

I can honestly didn't think the battery life was too much different than the previous OS. Some times i'd need to charge my phone at the end of the day but most times i'd go about 2 days before a charge and i usually always have Wi-Fi on and browse the web quite often!
I really didn't have any complaints! But currently i'm running OS 5.0.0.348 on my 8900!! I posted a link to it in the Leaked OS thread!
