Only the BlackBerry 8530 Curve Storm2 Can takes Profit from the Open GL API

Associated with the announcement of the Open GL ES support for the BlackBerry, RIM Developer Conference at the event just to confirm what devices are to benefit from standard 3D graphics that can be enjoyed after the release of the Open GL API. In an official press release stated that this update can be enjoyed by the device that is running OS 5.0 and higher, but this seems not entirely correct. Not all devices on the market are running OS 5.0 can run the app-app that already have the latest graphics 3D. for injection current, the devices can reap the benefits of the Open GL API only devices running OS 5.0, has the latest Qualcomm chipsets , and also can meet the memory requirements so that the app can run smoothly. More specifically, all the requirements that currently only be met by Storm2 and BlackBerry Curve 8530 that has so far not been released. Other devices that have been circulating on the market, including the Storm and the Bold 9700 can not run the new app-app and games that use 3D standard, although they had been armed with OS 5.0 (apparently Storm1 not pass the qualification of memory, while the processor on the Bold can not run a standard 3D). Tour did not officially get OS 5.0 update, but expect it when it is updated devices devices that will support for Open GL. In the future, just hoping there are more devices (including GSM BlackBerry that can not run Qualcomm chips) can run these games and app-app which features 3D OpenGL graphics
